Zahn McClarnon of Westworld is in talks to join the film adaptation of Dr. Sleep–a sequel to Stephen King’s The Shining

Zahn McClarnon may be taking a step into an entirely different world soon as he is in talks to join the cast of Dr. Sleep. It may not be the role of Akecheta or having anything to do with gaining awareness, but he would be participating in a movie based on Stephen King’s novel–and that’s something.

According to Variety, McClarnon would join Ewan MacGregor and Rebecca Ferguson who have already been cast in roles for the movie. This role would be a stark difference from Akecheta for McClarnon but with the show currently in hiatus, the world deserves to see more of him, so here’s to hoping he gets the role!

Dr. Sleep tells the story of an adult Danny Torrance who is dealing with the trauma of his childhood and tries to deal with his alcoholism. Once he does, his abilities return and he channels them into helping people that are dying in a hospice. From there on, scary moments will ensue (it is Stephen King, after all).

Zahn McClarnon, if cast, would play the role of Crow Daddy, who is Rose the Hat’s (Ferguson) right-hand man. The film already has a release date set for January 24th, 2020 so get ready to be frightened as we revisit the creepy world of The Shining.
