Tessa Thompson cast in Lady and the Tramp reboot

Tessa Thompson is set to play Lady in Disney’s Lady and the Tramp reboot–but don’t worry she will be back for season 3!
Tessa Thompson is trading in (temporarily) her diabolical persona of Westworld to join the ranks of iconic Disney characters in the next reboot, Lady and the Tramp. She will be joining The Leftovers Justin Theroux who is set to play Tramp in the reboot for the upcoming film.
For those who don’t remember, Lady is the Cocker Spaniel from a wealthy family that falls for Tramp, who is a dog of the streets. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will join the line of recent live-action reboots and will be available on Disney’s future streaming service after it launches in 2019.
The film will be directed by Charlie Bean (The Lego Ninjago Movie) and will consist of a mix of CGI and live-action elements. Of course, we hate to love Thompson’s character on Westworld as the despicable Charlotte Hale, and fans can keep calm and carry on because she will be back for the next season of our beloved show.
Thompson has been quite the busy gal over the last year between Westworld, Annihilation, Thor: Ragnarok, and Sorry To Bother You. She will also be starring alongside Chris Hemsworth in the Men in Black reboot, so suffice to say, homegirl is busy and will continue to be so as the next year of projects approaches.
We are excited to see Tessa Thompson take on such iconic, diverse roles, and still be a part of Westworld where her presence is absolutely needed and desired (even though we totally hate Charlotte, most of the time).
