Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming, a new browser game, coming spring 2019

Gamescom, Europe’s biggest games conference, is going on right now, and Yoozoo Games took the opportunity to officially unveil its all-new real-time browser game, Game of Thrones Winter is Coming, according to BusinessWire. Yoozoo partnered with HBO and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on this project, making it the official Game of Thrones video game experience for your phone

Game of Thrones Winter is Coming picks up right after the death of Lord Eddard Stark. You’ll play the part of an ambitious Westerosi lord determined to stop the endless fighting between the Seven Kingdoms and save people from endless war, which doesn’t sound like many Westerosi lords we know. Along the way, you’ll come into contact with characters from the show and get a chance to recruit them to your cause. Other features include:

• Create a House
• Customize your castle
• Expand your territory
• Train an army
• Progress through the history of Westeros, whatever that means
• Team up with friends and fight in player vs. player battles.

You can pre-register for the game now. If you do, you’ll gain access to special rewards when it’s released next year, during the spring of 2019.

With the exception of the player vs player element, a lot of this makes Game of Thrones Winter is Coming sound like another big Game of Thrones game on the market, Game of Thrones: Conquest. Hopefully, it can stand out.
