There’s no doubt that Grey Worm, the elected leader of the famous Unsullied mercenary army, is a man of immense military skill. Raised as a warrior slave by the Good Masters of Astapor, he’s been drilled in the art of combat all his life. Daenerys freed him and all of his men, and they have sworn their undying loyalty to her and her quest to take the Iron Throne.

Grey Worm is an expert on fighting with his unit–the Unsullied phalanx–but we’ve also seen him use his spear with great skill in smaller scale combat situations. He dispatched many Yunkish guards when he, Daario Naharis and Jorah Mormont infiltrated the city of Yunkai, and acquitted himself well when he and his men were ambushed by the Sons of the Harpy in Meereen; true, he’s wounded, but he emerges as the only survivor from the battle that killed the famous Barristan Selmy, who had come to the aid of the Unsullied.

It takes Grey Worm a while to recuperate from his injuries, but he’s able to lead the Unsullied assault on Casterly Rock In “The Queen’s Justice” (S7/Ep3), where he once again proves his mettle as a super-elite man of war.
