Italy: Margaery Tyrell

We’ve all known a Margaery Tyrell before, right? On the surface level, she’s the definition of privilege. Her family is wealthy and knows how to use their money to attain positions of power. It was because of her money and name that Margaery ended up married — or almost married — to three different kings.

She’s also stunningly beautiful, and kind besides. The people of King’s Landing loved Margaery because she was easy to love. She had a great sense of fashion, a sharp wit and the savviness to at least look like she cared about the plight of the smallfolk, whereas rulers Cersei dismissed them as beneath her.

But in the case of Maegaery Tyrell, there’s a whole lot more happening under the surface. She’s actually very smart, taking after her ambitious grandmother Olenna. There’s a reason she was able to keep getting more kings to marry her even after wedding their enemies. She had a keen sense for political maneuvering and knew how to use her beauty to her advantage.

I’ll bet that Margaery would fit in perfectly in the Italian countryside. Much like Margaery herself, Italy is beautiful, renowned for its sprawling vineyards, rolling hills and quaint historic towns.

Also like Margaery, there’s more to Italy than meets the eye. This country has a legacy of taking care of its own and being a player on the world stage.
