Ireland: Robert Baratheon

Rgreobert Baratheon’s time on the Iron Throne (and on Game of Thrones in general) was a whirlwind of an experience. He lived hard, always saying and doing what he wanted without much introspection. He developed a reputation for being a party king. In fact, when he asked Ned Stark to serve as his hand, he admitted that he wasn’t trying to honor him; rather, he was trying to get him to run his kingdom while he “ate, drank, and whored” his way to an early grave.

Robert would probably be comfortable hanging out in the pubs of Ireland. The country has just as lively and fun a personality as he does, and the drinking culture would certainly be a draw. In fact, it’s downright difficult to think of the country without picturing a tall glass of Guinness. Robert loved excess, and Ireland could provide him with it.

Ireland has a strong history of rebellion. For centuries, the Irish people have been facing off with various parties to maintain control of their land or in defense of king or religion. Robert can relate, since he only got his throne after rebelling against the Targaryens.
