Estonia: the Hound

Estonia hasn’t always had it easy. At various points, this country has been occupied by the Danish, the Swedes and the Soviet Union. Through it all, Estonia has lasted, although the road was rough. Today, it’s a country that prioritizes advancement, prizing the use of technology in its schools.

Much like Estonia, Sandor Clegane, also known as the Hound, has a famously rocky history. Not only did half of his face get burnt off courtesy of a psychopathic older brother, but he once had a reputation as a Lannister hit man. Through many trials, he grew as a character and now has a special place in our hearts, even if he can can still be a chicken-hogging jerk sometimes. Just recently, he was hanging out with a septon and trying to save the realm from White Walkers. He’s got a lot of making up to do and he’s really going for it.

The Hound isn’t without his quirks, and neither is Estonia. For instance, did you know that Estonia is home to the world’s best competitors in the sport of “wife-carrying,” which is exactly what it sounds like? Kind of conjures up images of the Hound lifting Sansa over his shoulder to carry her through the hordes of angry King’s Landing citizens, doesn’t it?
