Armenia: Olenna Tyrell
Armenia doesn’t come up much in casual American conversation unless it’s being used to talk about one very famous family: the Kardashians.
That’s right. In case you never knew it, Kim K. and her sisters were born to a third generation Armenian-American father, Robert Kardashian. Whether you love or loathe these reality queens, for Americans, they’ve helped put Armenia on the map, so to speak.
With that in mind, we’ve chosen a rich and entrepreneurial Game of Thrones character to represent the country: Olenna Tyrell, aka the Queen of Thorns.
To Olenna, family is everything, and just like the Kardashians, she knows the power of family branding. To help her family on its way to the top, she devises a plan to marry off her granddaughter to a king. When that doesn’t work out, she marries Margaery off to another one…and then another. Olenna will do anything to protect Margaery’s future as queen, including murder.
Interestingly enough, just like the Kardashians, Olenna doesn’t really need the extra fame and power. The Tyrells are already filthy rich and enjoy a comfortable lifestyle. But what the fun in having power if you can’t have the most?
