Take the Black Live: An old friend returns, as does an old anxiety
By Dan Selcke
Welcome to Take the Black Live, the show where myself and Cheryl Wassenaar of Culturess walk through the latest goings-on in the world of Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire, and there are always goings-on in the world of Game of Thrones and A Song of Ice and Fire. Watch us above!
The Take the Black Podcast is on iTunes and Google Play! Please subscribe and download from there if you can. Also, you can help us out by giving us a five-star rating and leaving a friendly comment! We’re also now on Spreaker, so try us there, as well.
Our topics this week are varied and occasionally surprising:
- I put a moratorium on the cliche, “If [insert upsetting event here] happens, we riot.” And then things get weirdly confrontational.
- In happier news, Ghost is back! But were people getting too upset over the fact that he sat out season 7?
- Sophie Turner makes us (well, me) nervous by repeating something we’ve heard from several cast members: the ending of the show will be divisive. Happily, Cheryl talks me off the ledge.
- In non-Game of Thrones news, Netflix is adapting The Chronicles of Narnia as a “cinematic universe.” Cheryl has strong feelings about this. I have muted, boring feelings.
- I don’t know weed slang.
We stream Take the Black Live from our Facebook page every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!
