Who better than to celebrate than the incredible woman who was instrumental in bringing Westworld into our lives?

Westworld came into our lives in October of 2016, and since then it has taken the world by storm with its complicated and convoluted storylines and characters. But it wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for one half of the incredible Nolan duo, Lisa Joy Nolan, who is our #WomanCrushWednesday of the week.

Not enough praise can be made about Lisa Joy Nolan who is a screenwriter, producer, and director and works with her other half, Jonathan Nolan, on HBO’s Westworld. Her journey to where she is today is quite the inspiring one, and it makes us love her more than we already did.

In 2007, Lisa Joy had just passed the bar exam after attending law school at Harvard Law and then took a consulting job at McKinsey. But she always desired to be a professional writer and got screenwriting software from Nolan, who was her boyfriend at the time.

She had written a script and before she knew it, she received a call to come work on a show called “Pushing Daisies”. With basically no time to think about it, she took a leap of faith and the rest is basically history.
