Westworld: Everything you need to know about Clifton Collins Jr.

We all know him as Lawrence on Westworld, but Clifton Collins Jr. is a force to be reckoned with–and we simply must admire him.

Westworld brought Clifton Collins Jr. into our lives, and we very quickly came to know him as El Lazo–a leader of the Revolutionaries. But long before he was on the hit HBO series, Collins Jr. was dipping his toes into the world of film and television in the early 90’s.

It was circa 2001 that Collins Jr. started to rise up in the ranks of the industry after starring in Robert Redford’s film The Last Castle. He played the role of Captain Ramon Aguilar who was a prisoner under the rule of Redford’s character.

Acting runs in Collins Jr.’s family as he was the grandson of actor Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez. But his talents push through the boundaries of simply acting–he’s also written a book! Yes, that’s right, in 2015 he wrote a book called Prison Ramen: Recipes and Stories from Behind Bars, which gives over 65 recipes for ramen and tells the stories of inmates behind bars and their connection to this staple food.

As far as this Westworld actor’s career goes, he’s been in a number of television shows and films over the years including FX’s Thief for which he earned a Primetime Emmy nomination. If one took a look at his filmography, you would be blown away by how extensive it is, and how truly badass he is.

Coming up, Collins Jr. will star in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt as well as his Westworld co-star, James Marsden. Apart from the series, his most recent work includes Super Troopers 2, The Vault, and A Crooked Somebody.
