Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion) on Game of Thrones leaks
Game of Thrones star Richard Dormer (Beric Dondarrion) sat down with Sky News to talk about the final season of his science fiction psychological thriller Fortitude, which debuts tonight on Sky Atlantic. But of course he was also asked about the eighth and final season of Thrones, as well. “I can’t tell you anything,” Dormer joked. “No, they’d kill me.”

And yet Sky News kept trying, asking him about reports that the finale would divide the fanbase, but the Northern Ireland-born actor refused to spill the beans. He did comment on the infamous plot that occurred ahead of season 7, though, the ones that basically laid out everything that was going to happen. He opined that they might be a good thing.
"I suppose it’s good for the show because it gets people talking, and sometimes I suppose they even leak stuff on purpose. I don’t know but it’s all good for the show."
That’s one way to look at it. Here’s the other way: “We find [spoilers] kind of annoying because we want fans to see it on screen and go, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe it!'”
We last saw the eyepatch-wearing, flaming sword-wielding Beric in the season 7 finale, as he and Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju) were trying to escape the Night King’s destruction of the Wall at Eastwatch-by-the-Sea. If ever there was an “Oh my God, I can’t believe it!” moment, it’s that one.
We’ll have to wait until April of 2019 to see if Beric and Tormund survived. In the meantime, you can catch Dormer in Fortitude season 3, which airs the first of its four final episodes tonight.
