Westworld was one of the most Googled shows in 2018

Congratulations to Westworld for being one of the most Googled shows in 2018!
Westworld was one of the most searched shows on Google this year. Given that the second season aired in 2018 and how crazy it got–it comes as no surprise. Earlier this week, the cast took to social media to share their elation over the news.
Ben Barnes shared an image of him with the Google search bar with a caption right below it saying Westworld was one of the top trending drama televisions shows. Well, duh! Of course, it is! Did we have any doubt?
Fans have mixed opinions about the second of Westworld for many reasons, mainly due to its confusing, convoluted nature. However, the theories, predictions, and insight that fans provided ruled the internet for the better part of 2018.
In the months following the season 2 finale, fans are still curious to figure out bits and pieces of the storyline. And this is where Google has come into play. Every time we had a question, inquiry, or just wanted to dive deep into the Reddit rabbit hole–Google was our best friend.
This is why Westworld has been one of the most Googled shows this year. It speaks to the amazing fandom and dedicated fans that have kept their interest alive. Unfortunately, season 3 is probably not airing until 2020, so it won’t come as a complete shock if Westworld continues to rule the Google world.
Season 2, in particular, had a couple of standout episodes that really blew fans away. In fact, if you look up “Kiksuya” or “Akane No Mai”, you’re sure to see the internet scattered with thoughts and feelings about it. We wouldn’t be surprised if broken down by episodes if either of these would make the top ten list. They were that good.
As we head into the new year, we hope to keep the Westworld love going strong. We’ve still got a solid year ahead of us before the show comes back, so let’s make it a good one!
