Game of Thrones stars encourage you to rewatch the series in new promo

Did you hear that there’s a new season of Game of Thrones around the corner? It’s true. It’s the last one, and it’s going to be a big deal. HBO has been on a bit of a promotional blitz this morning, first releasing a video where various celebrities sit the Iron Throne and encourage people to binge the show over anew before the season 8 premiere in April. Now, stars Sophie Turner (Sansa), Maisie Williams (Arya) and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) are doing the same thing. Watch below:

“Dragons.” “White Walkers.” “Sex.” “Kit Harington.” “Me.” “Sophie Turner.” “Lots of people.” “Not that many people.” Those are eight great reasons to watch right there. If you’re new to the show, what are you waiting for?

People already familiar with Game of Thrones — we imagine there are at least a few of you reading — may be more interested in the fact that this promo was very likely filmed on the set of season 8. Is there anything we can glean from it?

To start, all three actors are on the same set, with stone pillars in the background. Is it the Winterfell crypts? That’s what I’m picking up. That would make sense, too. Based on earlier footage released by HBO, we know Jon Snow will return to Winterfell, probably very early in the season. There have also been rumblings about scene set in the crypts.

Or they just all gathered in a convenient location to shoot the promo, whichever.

Additionally, we note that all three actors are wearing the same costumes they wore in season 7, which also makes sense. There was a bit of a time jump between seasons 6 and 7, but season 8 will pick up pretty much where the season 7 finale left off. There won’t be time for the characters to get new threads. I’m a little disappointed by that, since costume designer Michele Clapton’s work has been so consistently awesome, but it’s to be expected.

Notice anything we missed? Planning to do what the actors tell you and watch the series over again?
