HBO put a lot of effort into fixing up Winterfell for season 8
It’s the final season of Game of Thrones, so you might as well go big or go home, right? HBO went big, pouring a lot of money and time into refurbishing the Winterfell set at Moneyglass, Northern Ireland, building towers and crenellations that had previously been inserted after the fact with CGI.
