Huge J.R.R. Tolkien collection going on display in the United States
Middle-earth is coming stateside. From January 25-May 12, the largest J.R.R. Tolkien exhibit in the world — Tolkien: Maker of Middle-earth — will be on display to the Morgan Library and Museum in New York City.
The exhibit draws on collections from the Tolkien Archive at the Bodleian Library in Oxford, private lenders, and other institutions. It will feature family photographs and memorabilia, Tolkien’s original illustrations, maps, draft manuscripts, and designs related to The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion. If you can make it out, this is a must-see for any Tolkien fan.
