Maisie Williams is in the news for two reasons lately. One: She dyed her hair pink.
And two: the final season of Game of Thrones is coming and she has things to say about it. “It’s gonna be really weird when it’s done,” she told Sky News. “Every day is like a step closer to it not being a part of my life anymore. People are gonna come up to me on the street and go, ‘Weren’t you on that show?’ And that’s gonna be bizarre. But yeah, all good things must come to an end.”
"I don’t know that anyone’s going to be satisfied, no one wants it to end, you know? But I’m really proud of this final season. Like, I’ve always felt ashamed to say thing like that, but I am. I’m really proud of all the work that we put in. And yeah, for me, it’s like the right time. Yeah, I hope people like it."
This isn’t the first time Williams has hinted that that the final season might not satisfy everyone. “It’s either going to be everything that everyone dreamed of, or it’s gonna be disappointing,” she said around this time last year. “It depends which side of the fence you’re going to sit on. I think no matter what you do there’s definitely going to be that divide.” But this time she’s qualifying that people may not be satisfied because no one really wants the show to end, which I think is both true and not true. I love the show and want more, but every story has to have an end, and Game of Thrones has been building to a great one. See? I’m even divided against myself. Williams is right.

As for Williams being proud of the work she put in, we’re sure we’ll feel the same way when season 8 premieres on April 14. By all accounts, Williams was one of the last cast members on set, so it should be an Arya-tastic final set of episodes. We can definitely get behind that.
