2. Pepper Potts and/or James Rhodey

Long before the Endgame trailer dropped, a picture of Gwyneth Paltrow wearing some kind of super-suit surfaced on the internet. Initially, everyone was just jazzed to see Pepper getting into the superhero game, but once the trailer dropped, another theory started to bubble up. Pepper, in all likelihood, didn’t put on that suit for the fun of it. In the comics, Pepper Popps becomes a superhero named Rescue. Perhaps she dons this suit to fly out and save Tony, living up to her name.

James Rhodes, aka Rhodey, aka War Machine, aka Don Cheadle, has a super-suit as well, so he could theoretically also make a rescue attempt. Or perhaps he and Pepper could attempt one together, flying out to save Tony Stark when when everyone else believes it a lost cause. Sounds like them, doesn’t it?
