Avengers: Infinity War left everyone in every audience shaken. It’s not easy to watch your favorite superheroes not only be defeated but then disintegrate into space dust, and after expending all that effort. Nevertheless, Thanos the Mad Titan snapped his fingers and killed half of the living beings in the universe. It was rough, but at least the name fans have come up with for it, the Snappening, is kind of cute.
Also, we know it’s not going to last, not completely. Spider-Man has a movie coming out this summer, which can’t happen if Spider-Man doesn’t exist. Dr. Strange is returning for another movie, as well, as confirmed by Marvel president Kevin Feige himself. So the Snappening has to be undone, at least partially.
But how, and at what cost? Had Wanda, aka the Scarlet Witch, survived, I’d say she would have a hand in it, given that she’s a mind-bending reality-warping witch, but she’s dust in the wind, so that’s a no-go.
