Five ways Thanos’ snap could be undone in Avengers: Endgame

2. The Soul Stone

Even if the “Adam” we saw in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is, in fact, Adam Warlock, I doubt that he’ll be tied to the Soul Stone like he is in the comics. There, he resides in the Soul World, a kind of pocket dimension within the Soul Stone. We’ve seen hints of this world existing in the MCU. Take the moment in Infinity War when Thanos sees a young Gamora in a haze of yellow, right after the Snappening. This is supposedly happening in the Soul World.

I’d like to think that when all these powerful heroes got snapped away, they band together in the Soul World and find a way to save themselves. As we saw in the final scene from Infinity War, Thanos is now very relaxed and at peace and happy with himself for murdering half the universe. With his guard down, now is the time to strike. In the Infinity War audio commentary, Joe Russo even said that using the Gauntlet permanently damaged Thanos, so he may be weak enough for the Avengers to take him down.
