Go inside elaborate Game of Thrones pop-up bar in Chicago
By Dan Selcke
Game of Thrones is ending. It’s sad. You know what helps with sadness? Alcohol. In that spirit, we present to you the Game of Thrones pop-up bar in Replay Lincoln Park in Chicago, which will be open for the next few weeks. Take a look at what’s on offer:
Joking aside, this looks like a lot of fun. They’ve got a dragon, they’ve got a replica of the Iron Throne for photo ops, and they have a bunch of Ommegang’s Game of Thrones-themed beers on tap, including the King in the North barrel aged stout, the Queen of Seven Kingdoms sour blond ale, the Hand of the Queen barleywine and the Mother of Dragons smoked porter blend. It’s just a good time. Raquel Hung, one of the artists who put together the space, weighed in
“One big inspiration was the iconic map of Westeros, because we see it in every episode during the title sequence,” artist Tom Molloy explained to Forbes. “Every area of the bar is different, you can visit a Dothraki camp, Meereen, High Garden, Braavos, Kings Landing, Winter Fell, and even the Wall at Castle Black.”
