Let’s rank the Game of Thrones trailers from worst to first

Every year since 2011 (excluding 2018, the year HBO left a great void in our souls), Game of Thrones fans have eagerly awaited the trailer for the next season. And over the years, HBO has delivered some great ones. They don’t spoil anything, exactly, but they do leave you wanting more.

Each new season’s trailer comes equipped with either moody music — you know, to set the tone — or unforgettable lines, or a combination of both. HBO has done a superb job marketing its flagship series, and as we wait for a trailer for the eighth and final season of the show, let’s go back and look at the earlier ones, ranking them from worst (but still good, because this is Game of Thrones) to best. Maybe we’ll agree…but probably not.
