Queue the moody music! The season 5 trailer soundtrack featured a cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes” by TV On The Radio, and it fits perfectly. There’s a ton of exciting imagery here, and it marks the last time book-readers would be able to see something and peg it as an adaptation of a scene from A Song of Ice and Fire.

Great Lines:

  • Brienne: “Nothing’s more hateful than failing to protect the one you love.”
  • Littlefinger: “There’s no justice in this world, not unless we make it.”
  • Daenerys: “I’m not going to stop the wheel, I’m going to break the wheel.”
  • Varys: “Who said anything about him?”
  • The High Sparrow: “Strip away the gold, knock down the statues, and this is what remains.”

Great Scenes:

  • Jaime Lannister standing vigil over his father’s body.
  • Jorah in Daznak’s Pit.
  • The harpy being pulled down from atop Meereen’s great pyramid.
