Let’s rank the Game of Thrones trailers from worst to first

Season 2

In all honesty, the trailers for season 2 and season 3 are interchangeable…in my mind at least. They both feature great quotes from various important characters and the music is at peak moodiness. “Seven Devils” by Florence and the Machine is a fun choice for the season 2 trailer. Seven Devils, seven gods in Westeros. Everyone loves a theme.

Great Lines:

  • Varys: “Power resides where men believe it resides. It’s a trick, a shadow on the wall.”
  • Jaime: “Three victories don’t make you a conqueror.” Robb: “It’s better than three defeats.”
  • Tyrion: “I will hurt you for this. The day will come when your joy will turn to ashes (in your mouth), and you will know the debt is paid.”

Great Scenes:

  • Lord Tywin Lannister riding into Harrenhal.
  • Robb Stark’s army about to attack the Lannisters in the rain.
  • Tyrion preparing for the Battle of the Blackwater.
  • Cersei smiling crookedly at Tyrion.
  • Melisandre’s fun hairdo! No one pulls off the “I’m going to burn you alive, but at least I had time to pull the rollers out of my hair before I do” look like Melisandre.
