Detective Pikachu, starring Ryan Reynolds as the iconic electric yellow rodent, is gearing up to be every Pokemon fan’s dream come true. In fact, even if you’ve never heard of Pokemon, this movie looking interesting enough on its own to draw you in. Warner Bros. dropped a new trailer for the movie today, and it features some Pokemon we haven’t seen yet, like Mewtwo. Roll it:
Honestly, I never would have guessed they’d be able to make a live-action Pokemon movie that didn’t look completely absurd, but they did it. Reynolds is a perfect choice to voice the little guy, too. And he’s dedicated his craft:
The last trailer was told from the point of view of Tim Goodman (Justice Smith), with whom Pikachu partners up to solve a case. This time, it’s all about Pikachu, who apparently has amnesia.
Detective Pikachu hits theaters on May 10. Per Digital Spy, there are already plans for a sequel. Get ready for a whole universe of Pokemon movies.

From one of the most anticipated movies of the year to a movie that’s lucky to be alive, there’s also a new trailer for The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, the long-in-gestation brain child of Terry Gilliam, the man behind movies like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Brazil, Twelve Monkeys, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Gilliam has been trying to make this movie for literally decades, to the point where it’s often held up as a prototypical example of Hollywood development hell. It’s finally here, with Star Wars’ Adam Driver and Game of Thrones’ Jonathan Pryce in the lead roles:
But just because Gilliam finally made the thing doesn’t mean you’re going to have an easy time seeing it. Quixote has already seen limited release overseas, but stateside, it looks like it may only be in theaters for one night, on April 10.
