Oh, Brienne, so pure of heart. Oh, Jaime, a handsome, vicious beast on the tortured path to redemption. Their relationship is complicated, for sure. Brienne, in her honest fashion, is internally true to her connection with Jaime. Jaime, for his part, sees Brienne as one of the few good things he’s been able to help survive in the nasty world of Westeros. One of them shall surely die in the other’s arms, but we don’t know which one it will be.

The shot of Brienne (if it is Brienne) fighting in silhouette is one of the most haunting and impactful of the entire trailer. It’s even better paired with the next shot, where we see Jaime battling in what seems to be the same firelit sequence. If one of them dies there isn’t going to be a dry eye in the house.
