Relax with this beautiful classical cover of the Stranger Things theme song
By Dan Selcke
Life can be hard. You’ve got work and bills and responsibilities. But you know what’s not hard? Television. Well, it can be hard for the people you’re watching, particularly if they’re on a show like Stranger Things and running from an inter-dimensional monster or something, but you get to kick back and relax and watch them flee for their lives.
All of that was a long-winded way of introducing you to a music video from the Vitamin String Quartet, which performed a lovely cover of the Stranger Things main theme in an arcade, because ’80s. Check it out:
Oh, I 100% heard the five-note theme from Close Encounters of the Third Kind there at 3:34. You sneaky musicians.

Here’s the original Stranger Things theme song, for comparison’s sake:
I dig the Vitamin String Quartet’s more laid back, less ominous take on the song. If you’re interested, this is the lead track their new album, Geek Wedding Forever, Vol. 3, available now on Spotify. They’ve got remixes of bunches of nerdy songs, including tunes from Jurassic Park, Chrono Trigger, Sailor Moon and Super Mario 64. Keep them in mind if you’re feeling tense.
