A much-needed Game of Thrones refresher ahead of season 8

In season 7, Podrick pretty much stuck by Brienne’s side. He was with her at the top of the season at Winterfell, where he was happy to see three of the Stark children reunited. Then he traveled south when Sansa sent Brienne to King’s Landing to represent her interests at the Dragonpit summit. This is despite Brienne lobbying for Podrick to remain at Winterfell and protect Sansa, as he’s become a skilled fighter under her tutelage.

In King’s Landing, Pod reunites with his old friend and boss Tyrion Lannister. While everyone gathers to talk strategy at the Dragonpit, he leaves to have a drink or three with Bronn. We don’t know what happened to him after that, but odds are that Podrick will return to Winterfell with Brienne. In fact, we know that’s the case, because we see him on the front lines ready to fight the army of the dead in the season 8 trailer:
