A much-needed Game of Thrones refresher ahead of season 8

Grey Worm

In season 7, Grey Worm and Missandei finally consummated their long-simmering relationship the night before he was to head off to attack Casterly Rock with the rest of the Unsullied. With love in his heart, Grey Worm successfully penetrated the Rock, but it was a ruse; Jaime Lannister had all but emptied the castle of people, and Euron Greyjoy destroyed the fleet Grey Worm and company sailed in on. The Unsullied were forced to march overland back to Dragonstone, where they arrived in time to stand outside the walls of King’s Landing during the Dragonpit meeting. After the summit, Grey Worm returned to Dragonstone with his queen, which is where we last saw him.

We’ve seen Grey Worm in the season 8 trailer, at Winterfell and ready for battle. As Dany’s most loyal soldier, he’ll undoubtedly be on the front lines in the fight against the undead. In a foreign land and facing an impossible enemy, season 8 will be Grey Worm’s greatest challenge yet, but at least he has something, and someone, to fight for.
