With the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones approaching, there’s no shortage of Westeros-related content on the internet, some of it meant to advertise this or that product and some of it existing just because. Happily, a lot of it is pretty amusing, so let’s have a look.

The things we do for love

Dating site OKCupid is offering users a badge they can add to their profiles to let potential dates know that they are, in fact, fans of Game of Thrones, like so:

In all fairness, finding common interests is the goal of most dating websites. I mean, honestly, how can Game of Thrones fans date someone who doesn’t care that the Night King is on his way?

A can has no name

Mountain Dew is also hopping on the Game of Thrones hype train with the “A Can Has No Name” campaign. In homage to the Faceless Men of Braavos, the soda brand will temporarily get rid of its iconic green can and replace it with a white, brandless one. And it gets even cooler.

When the cans are at room temperature, they’ll appear blank on the outside. However, when fans chill the soda cans, Arya’s kill list will appear, showcasing the names of her sworn enemies. Observe:

Mountain Dew just became the official drink of Game of Thrones season 8.

Playing catch-up

Don’t have time to rewatch all of Game of Thrones before season 8. White Animation has you covered:

For a video that’s only a few minutes long, this does a pretty solid job of summing up the series, although I’m pretty sure the narrator is pronouncing “Westeros” wrong.

Sculpting the Night King

One Night King is definitely more than enough, but sculptor Steven Richter has created a bust of his head anyway. Check out this very impressive time lapse video:

Okay, so this video isn’t exactly funny, but it’s fascinating to watch the pieces of the Night King come together. Also, you have to wonder where in his house Richter will put that. We shudder to think of waking up and this being the first thing you see.
