How will Jon and Daenerys deal with their shared heritage?

Going home to meet the family of your new squeeze is always awkward. Will they like you? Are you wearing your best outfit? Will my dragons eat their dog? And most importantly, how will opinions change when your new boo finds out that he’s your nephew and that the two of you accidentally entered into an incestuous relationship? That’s exactly what Jon and Daenerys are in for once the truth about Jon’s heritage comes to light.

There are all kinds of potential issues with this one, and we’ve got a big bucket of popcorn ready. To start, how will Jon and Dany deal with the revelation that they’ve been sleeping with a family member? Dany, being a Targaryen, might be slightly less distressed than Jon, but it’s not like the Targaryen practice of marrying brother to sister has ever been a day-to-day reality for her. Taking things further, how do the pair deal with discovering that Jon is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne? Does that make their match more likely, or is that a reason to go to war with each other? And how does Jon deal with finding out that the man he believed to be his father, Ned Stark, lied to him his whole life? This is going to open up a huge can of worms…no, a barrel of worms.

And if all of those questions weren’t enough, the duo will be forced to deal with all of these questions as the Night King bears down on them. These questions would stress any relationship to the breaking point, but introduce an army of zombies — plus other family members and friends trying to sway you one way or another — and you’ve got chaos. Oh, look! The popcorn’s ready.
