Will Bronn ever get his castle?

This might seem like a minor question, but it’s not. Bronn has been around since season 1, and has faced down everything from Knights of the Vale to angry dragons. Our favorite mercenary’s longterm happiness is a primary concern heading into season 8.

Bronn’s current status seems a bit uncertain. He was working for Jaime Lannister, sticking around long enough to get his long-promised castle, but now that Jaime has skipped town, we’re not sure where that leaves him. We’re guessing Bronn will follow Jaime north, if for no other reason than because Jaime is his meal ticket. If that happens, Bronn could theoretically reunite with Tyrion as well, someone else who’s promised to better Bronn’s lot. With two Lannisters around, the chances of getting that castle are twice as good.

Unfortunately, thanks to the Night King and his army, there might not be any castles left for Bronn to claim by the time the series is over. But if the Night King is defeated and Bronn somehow manages to survive the coming conflicts, he could have his picks. Between the Frey, Martell and Tyrell families getting killed off, there are quite a few castles now vacant, and we can be sure more will fall in season 8. We’re pulling for you, Bronn.
