Jon and Arya reunite in another new Game of Thrones promo

It’s starting to look like the first trailer for Game of Thrones season 8 is the only one we’re going to get, but HBO did release a pair of new TV promos last night. Below, Twitter’s own @wildtargaryen strung them together and stabilized them, which is good, because HBO has yet to release them in official form anywhere on the internet. Watch below!

We broke down the first promo a bit here. The big news from the second one is that Jon and Arya are together in the Winterfell godswood! Man, a lot of important scenes have happened there over the years. Anyway, the two don’t look like they’re tearfully reuniting or anything, but then again, they’ve changed rather a lot since Arya was Jon’s tomboy-ish little sister. We can’t wait to see more!

We also get a snippet of a conversation between old friends Jon and Sam. “Think back to where we started,” Sam says. On it. “Now it’s just us,” Jon replies, and also, “We need to end this war.” At least I’m pretty sure that’s what he says. He’s deep into a broody mumble at this point.
And hey, Jon summons a cut by blowing out a candle. I wonder if Arya taught him that trick?
Jaime also gets a line. “This goes beyond loyalty,” he says. “This is about survival.” This guy gets it.
Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on April 14. We are way beyond ready.
