Warning: You know how Game of Thrones just aired its season 8 premiere? We’re talking about the end of that.

Jaime Lannister is about to have a really bad time.

Okay, to be fair, he’s had a series of really bad times, including losing his hand and all, but his return to Winterfell at the end of Game of Thrones‘ season 8 premiere is probably the herald of his worst time yet.

After all, we’ve seen him at the Battle of Winterfell in trailers, and the preview for next week’s episode looks like Daenerys, of all people, is not happy to see him. (That poor man has quite the expression on his face as Daenerys basically says she’s been thinking about killing him since childhood in some way.)

But we know he survives until episode 3, at the very least.

We also noticed that his brother is present in the trailer. How much help will Tyrion be able to give him? After all, he’s the reason that Daenerys thought Cersei was ready to fight for the dead, and Jaime will be able to say that that is emphatically not true, at least as he knows it. That puts Tyrion in the doghouse, too, and as much as he’s the Hand of the Queen, that means nothing when it comes to what Daenerys will do.

We’ve seen that play out, too.
