Five predictions for Game of Thrones Episode 802

Sansa will push Jon to assert his claim to the Iron Throne

Sansa is a force to be reckoned with, and given all she’s learned since the start of the show, I absolutely believe she has the potential to achieve Cersei-like levels of manipulation.

We saw in the season 8 premiere that Sansa is none too happy with Daenerys Targaryen’s arrival in Winterfell. Going into the second episode of the final season, I’m assuming that everyone will find out about Jon’s true parentage and how he is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne.

When Sam told Jon the truth about his heritage, he looked confused and lost, as he would be. Jon has always taken on responsibility when he needed to, but he probably doesn’t want to step on Dany’s toes, both because she’s his girlfriend and because he doesn’t want to sow division at a time when the forces of the living really need to stick together. However, I think Sansa will be whispering in Jon’s ear that he should fight for his claim to the Iron Throne. She would much rather Jon rule the Seven Kingdoms than Daenerys. Sam, who was upset to learn that Daenerys executed his father and brother, may join her.

So Jon could have his sister/cousin and his best friend encouraging him to sit the Iron Throne. What decision will Jon make? We’ll know soon enough.
