You had, like, three scenes in season 1. Why did you pick a fight with the Kingslayer? These are the characters we think most likely to die in the season 8 premiere. We hope they all have their affairs in order.

1. Dolorous Edd: 90%. Edd survived the season premiere, but the whole plan to ride to Winterfell counts on being able to avoid the army of the dead. Which is massive.

2. Beric Dondarrion: 75%. Ditto for the lightning lord. We’d love him to teach others his flaming sword trick before he goes, but the Night King is still lurking about.

3. Lord Glover: 50%. Lord Glover declined to fall back to Winterfell, which sounds dangerous. His only saving grace is that Deepwood Motte lies far to the west, so the Night King would have to make quite the trip to take him out.

4. Theon Greyjoy: 50%. Theon rescued Yara and then immediately departed for Winterfell. Are there any safe roads to Winterfell with the Night King and Viserion around?

5. Edmure Tully: 50%. More and more it looks like we won’t see Edmure until things settle down. But the Golden Company could pay him a visit if they head north.

6. Ghost: 45%. Jon found a new friend in Rhaegal in the season premiere, and didn’t even bother to say hi to Ghost upon returning to Winterfell. Sorry boy, your time is limited.

7. Jaime Lannister: 45%. Look, we don’t think Jaime’s story ends in a blast of dragonfire after Daenerys decides to execute him, but crazier things have happened on this show.

8. Tormund Giantsbane: 40%. We can see in the trailer for Episode 802 that Tormund, at least, makes it to Winterfell alive, but the Night King is right on his heels.
