Between the opening of Avengers: Endgame and the barn-burning Battle of Winterfell over on Game of Thrones, this weekend promises to be huge for pop culture. Just how many beloved characters are going to die? Too many, that’s how many.

Anyway, while HBO is keeping a tight lid on the next Thrones episode (although the first two leaked ahead of time, so…), Marvel has now held an advance screening for Endgame in Los Angeles, and the reviews are in.
And yes, by “reviews” I mean Twitter reactions, but how much more do you need to convince you to see this movie? Based on the huge number of advance ticket sales, you’ve probably secured your seat already.
Just walked out of Avengers Endgame premiere. Oh. My. God. #AvengersEndgame pic.twitter.com/EzTxQiWp1G

Is that a a good “Oh. My. God.”?
All I’m going to say about @Avengers #EndGame is that I am an emotional wreck and can’t stop crying
— Maude Garrett (@maudegarrett) April 23, 2019
Still ambiguous.
#AvengersEndgame is EPIC EMOTIONAL AND THE BIGGEST BLOCKBUSER FROM MARVEL
— Ashish Chanchlani (@ashchanchlani) April 23, 2019
You guys dont even know what you are in for
It has tons of surprises LIKE TONNSSS OF SURPRISES
Stay away from spoilers and watch this movie on the biggest screen possible
BEST MCU/SUPERHERO MOVIE FOR ME
I just can’t remember a cinematic experience like the one I just had with #AvengersEndgame. Simply blown away. I feel like that movie was made for every Marvel fan, everywhere.

#AvengersEndgame is the film of the year. If you thought you’d seen comics brought fully to the big screen already, prepare to reset your expectations AGAIN.#MCU #Avengers #Endgame #EndgamePremiereLA #EndgamePremiere

The scope of Avengers: Endgame is impossible to put into words. What Fiege & MCU achieved over last 10-years has lead to this gloriously masterful moment in cinema & it’s truly mind-blowing how beautifully paced this storytelling is. Perfectly balanced. As all things should be.
— Kevin McCarthy (@KevinMcCarthyTV) April 23, 2019
Just saw #AvengersEndgame. This tweet will have no spoilers. Instead, it’ll just be emotional gibberish. Thor in this movie is my mood rn. Also, it was so amazing I cried... many times. I will watch this movie so many times. I feel so fulfilled after a decade.
— Natalie Abrams (@NatalieAbrams) April 23, 2019
That’s a little more clear. People liked it!
Some more measured reactions:
Wow. #AvengersEndgame is staggering. It’s surprising in ways I never saw coming and satisfying in ways I didn’t realize I needed. It’s kind of the ultimate gift to fans of the MCU. It’s very long and has a few hiccups, but is everything you’re hoping for and more. pic.twitter.com/RO97kw9fs5

#AvengerEndgame is an immensely satisfying payoff, not just to Infinity War but to all the films that came before. This is why the MCU. (And I say this as someone who was not especially enamored of Infinity War, FWIW.) ♥️💙💜

The level of fan service in this thing is insane. Do your homework. #avengersendgame
— Joel Meares (@joelmeares) April 23, 2019
I’m not sure quite how to take the comment about fan service — does anyone else feel like that term is being overused these days? — but this is all for the good. If I’m going to forego bathroom breaks for three hours the payoffs better be worth it.
Naturally, no one is spoiling the movie, because then Marvel would break their legs, but there are a few hints here and there.
Just watched Avengers: Endgame. I don’t believe hyperbole is possible for this movie. It is the ultimate Marvel movie in every way possible and words cannot describe how epic it is. And yes, Hawkeye is a rockstar.
— Rob Keyes (@rob_keyes) April 23, 2019
Big props to the original six Avengers who do incredible things in #AvengersEndgame.
— Rob Keyes (@rob_keyes) April 23, 2019
90% of the #AvengersEndgame footage that’s been officially released is from first the 15 minutes: Other than the actual surprises, the biggest surprise to me was how funny it is
— Aaron Couch (@AaronCouch) April 23, 2019
Good or bad, this tweet is almost certainly accurate:
Spoiler free #AvengersEndgame thoughts: Fans are going to go APESHIT. #AvengersEndgamePremiere
— Joel Meares (@joelmeares) April 23, 2019
Said going apeshit will commence when Endgame opens this Friday.
