2. The Hound vs The Mountain

Fans have wanted to see this fight for a very long time, so long that it has its won name: CleganeBowl, the final matchup between the deadliest set of brothers in Westeros.

Gregor “the Mountain” Clegane is one of the most terrifying men in Westeros. What he lacks in speed and skill he makes up for it in pure brute force. It’ll take a master to defeat him in combat, or at the very least someone who’s almost as big. One of the only men to fit that bill is none other than his own brother Sandor. The pair have skirmished before and openly disdain each other, but a full-on fight to the death has yet to take place between them.

A few seasons ago, it looked like this dream matchup was a lost cause when the Mountain appeared to have died as a result of the poison from the Red Viper’s spear. But not long after, Cersei’s right hand man Qyburn raised him from the dead. Stronger (and quieter) than ever, he’s become Cersei’s most lethal enforcer.

Meanwhile, the Hound met his own match at the hands of Brienne of Tarth. Arya left him for dead on a hillside, and that appeared to be that. But then, a couple seasons later, the Hound revealed himself to be alive and (mostly) well, living peaceful with a small community in the Riverlands. This being Game of Thrones, that community was soon slaughtered, the Hound returned to his violent ways, and he’s been killing ever since, albeit for the right side now.

At the moment, the Hound is at Winterfell, assisting Jon Snow in his fight against he undead. But sooner or later, the brothers Clegane will meet again, and then this long-simmering conflict will finally reach a conclusion.
