Cersei will devise one hell of a battle plan

Game of Thrones has kept Cersei out of the last two episodes, so it’ll be good to see our favorite diabolical villainess this week. But what exactly is she up to? And did we see Euron propose to her in the promo trailer?

Okay, so here is what I think will go down.

In the promo, we see civilians from King’s Landing pouring into the Red Keep — they don’t look organized enough to be members of the Golden Company to me. Cersei doesn’t have an open heart, so why is she allowing everyone to come into her space? Because she’s clever AF. She knows the Dragon Queen is coming, and she assumes that Daenerys won’t hurt civilians, so she’s packing the Red Keep full of them, all the better to prevent Dany from using dragon fire on the Red Keep.

Secondly, I think Cersei and Euron may get married. Yes, I know, that sounds ridiculous, but she needs all the allies she can get right now, and in Westeros, there’s no better way to temper an alliance than with marriage.

Lastly, I think Cersei will do her utmost to discredit Dany as much as possible. Cersei will tell the people of King’s Landing that Dany made up everything about the White Walkers, and considering the dead are gone, it should be an easy enough lie to sell. The goal is to make Dany look dangerous and reduce her chances of looking like a fit queen.

Finally, we can’t forget that Cersei has a lot in her arsenal. This includes the Lannister army, the Golden Company, casks of wildfire, and possibly Bronn, whom she’s sent to sow discord among Team Dany from within. Our folks up North lost a lot during the Battle of Winterfell, and it’s beginning to look like Cersei may actually have the upper hand.
