After last week’s heart-rending Battle of Winterfell, Game of Thrones Episode 804 looks like a chance to catch our breath before we head into the show’s final few hours. Of course, this is Game of Thrones, so even a slow episode doesn’t mean freedom from worry. We might not have to body count of “The Long Night,” but things are certainly moving. Watch the trailer below!

Was that a proposal we saw from Euron Greyjoy? Where is the Targaryen fleet sailing?

After two straight episodes set entirely at Winterfell, Cersei Lannister and King’s Landing are set to reemerge in a big way. Here are the cold hard facts about the still-untitled Episode 804:

  • Start Time: May 5, 2019, 9:00 p.m. EST
  • TV Info: HBO
  • Episode: “We’ll Find Out The Title After It’s Aired”
  • Writers: David Benioff and Dan Weiss
  • Director: David Nutter
  • Run Time: 78 Minutes

Of note is that even though we don’t expect this episode to feature much in the way of action set pieces, it’s nearly as long as “The Long Night.” All the remaining episodes are.

Who’s creepier in this image: Euron Greyjoy or the Mountain? Either way, we’re starting to feel for Cersei if these are her best friends.

As for her smile, she might have just heard about what happened at the Battle of Winterfell. Her strategy from season 7 worked! The living defeated the dead so she doesn’t have to worry about them, and they weakened themselves in the process. And she looks resplendent in Lannister crimson.

Back in Winterfell, the living will be tasked with burying the dead, although it looks like our heroes are opting to burn the bodies despite the Night King no longer being a threat. It’s also the faster option, and based on the shot of the Targaryen fleet, it does look like things will be moving along quickly.

Jon is looking dour as usual:

You’d think after finally defeating the Night King he might be a little happier. Then again, with that threat over, he has to deal with uncomfortable problems like the fact he’s been sleeping with his aunt who may also see him as a rival for the Iron Throne. It’s out of the frying pan and into the very weird fire with this guy.

This episode will mark the final time David Nutter directs an episode. There might only be three episodes left to go, but with each having an extended run time, the majority of season 8 is still to come.
