Game of Thrones Episode 804, “The Last of the Starks” had plenty of peaks and valleys for the viewer to go through. One moment we’re mourning the dead from the Battle of Winterfell and the next, we’re celebrating Gendry’s legitimization as a Baratheon and Lord of Storm’s End.

As per usual, HBO releases a batch of all-new photos after each episode of Game of Thrones, and we’ve got them here to got over. Ready? Let’s take a gander.

We start with Daenerys saying an emotional goodbye to her protector, Ser Jorah Mormont.

Here’s Sansa laying a House Stark pin on Theon’s chest. He earned it.

Later that night, a celebration of the sacrifice the heroes made, as well as Gendry’s legitimization occurred.

There was lots of drinking, of course.

But not everyone was in a celebratory mood. Sansa and the Hound have always shared a special bond.

While people were drinking, Gendry was proposing marriage to Arya…it didn’t go too well for him.

Jon and Dany’s last night together at Winterfell didn’t go too well either.

Jon did tell his siblings…I don’t think Sansa was pleased.

The next day, Daenerys and her forces set sail for Dragonstone while Jon and the Northerners hit the King’s Road.

A lot of final goodbyes were said, like Ghost and Tormund, Gilly (who is pregnant!) and Same, and of course, Ghost.

Arya and the Hound are heading to King’s Landing for some unfinished business. CLEGANEBOWL get hype?

At Dragonstone, Rhaegal was murdered by Euron Greyjoy and the Iron Fleet.

Daenerys wanted to burn Euron’s fleet, but there were too many of them.

Missandei and Grey Worm shared one final moment before being separated forever.

Euron was pleased with himself. You just know he’s about to get what’s coming to him.

Missandei stood in chains while Cersei and Euron gloated.

Jaime — after deciding to live a life with Brienne — found out what his sister did and made the choice to ride to King’s Landing, even after Brienne begged him to stay.

In front of King’s Landing, only half of Dany’s forces were there to demand Cersei’s surrender.

“Dracarys!”

Cersei commanded the Mountain to behead Missandei, as Grey Worm watched.

I think that was the last straw in Daenerys’ descent into madness…or at least revenge at all costs.
