As always, the fans of r/freefolk have come up with a name that shall live in meme-ry for a long time: Oathsex.

Yes, Jaime Lannister and Brienne of Tarth have acted on several seasons’ worth of emotional and sexual tension and gotten together. As you might expect, the internet writ large has also completely gone nuts. How could we not, when Brienne basically deserves everything good, and her knighthood was just the start?

Twitter, of course, had the best mix of reactions to everything that went down between the two knights, including their playing a drinking game before getting together.

Let’s face it, no, it was not the sexiest moment, but many a fan probably had a classic song playing in their minds as they watched the scene unfold:

Things get even worse, though. After planning to stay in Winterfell with Brienne, the news of the loss of a dragon seems to change Jaime’s mind about things. He leaves despite Brienne asking for him to stay.
