Game of Thrones Screencap Breakdown: “Episode 805” Trailer

The editing picks up speed. Dany sits on her Dragonstone throne, looking very alone. She has people in attendance, perhaps Tyrion and Varys.

Tyrion gives us a dramatic stare.

The infamous Golden Company mercenaries march through the streets of King’s Landing, perhaps on the way out the gates to take up the position seen in the earlier shot.

Grey Worm stands before his Unsullied, who are much fewer in number now. One can only imagine how enraged he is with Cersei.

And there she is.

Lannister soldiers operate the Qyburn-designed scorpion, decorated with lions heads. This spells big trouble for Drogon, we know.

The nasty-tipped spear locks into place.

I darkened this shot so it’s easier to peer into the blazing ball of the sun. If you look closely you can see the faint silhouette of a dragon. It’s Drogon (with Daenerys aboard?), employing the time-honored aerial battle tactic of diving out of the sun. What’s he diving towards?

Peering into the sun, Euron realizes the juggernaut is about to crash down upon him. We hear the roar of the dragon.

And there we have it! As usual, the trailer is careful not to provide many clues. Still, it looks like “Episode 805” is gonna be a barn burner. Mayhem maestro Miguel Sapochnik is directing, so it pretty much has to be.
