Faster than Euron Greyjoy wiped Rhaegal out of existence, HBO has digitally erased the errant coffee cup that appeared in the latest episode of Game of Thrones, “The Last of the Starks.” Appearing ever so briefly on the table in front of Daenerys during Winterfell’s celebratory feast, the coffee cup took on a life of its own in the hours after the show aired Sunday evening. Exhibit A: The coffee cup has its own Twitter account.

And of course, the meme artists had a field day with this one. Bless them always:

Just the other night, Conan O’Brien brought up the coffee cup when interviewing Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth). “These things happen,” Cunningham said. “[I]t’s a big job, people run in, and Emilia [Clarke] probably drinks too much coffee.”

Or if you’re looking for an in-universe explanation, it could be that Sansa Stark struck again:

"Starbucks cup mystery solved. Sansa is petty, the north remembers. from freefolk"

Although initially reported to be a Starbucks brand coffee cup, The Wall Street Journal, covering the important topics as always, later clarified that it was simply a generic craft services cup used by all the cast members on set. All the same, CNBC reports that Starbucks made an estimated $2.3 billion in free advertising. That coffee cup is a job creator!
