Five predictions for Game of Thrones Episode 805
By Ariba Bhuvad
5. Who will live to see another day?
This is the question on every Game of Thrones fan’s mind every time we approach a new episode, with only two installments to go, it’s never been more relevant. We’ve lost a few characters this season, but most of the major ones are still in play. Now that we are headed into the final battle of the series, we can confidently assume that many of the characters will die.
But who will we lose? Or at least, who do we think we’ll lose? I think some characters are solid bets. I can see Grey Worm, for example, fighting and dying mourning the loss of his beloved. He may be just as pissed as Dany and at this point, he feels like he has nothing to lose.
I feel like we’re going to lose Euron. After Cersei, Euron has become the series’ most horrendous villain, and considering he shot down and killed Rhaegal last week, everyone will be out for his blood. Look at his fearful look in the “Episode 805” promo. Has he spotted another dragon? Is it coming at him at full speed? Will it flash-fry him dead?
Varys is another contender for the long dirt nap. His loyalty for Dany is clearly fading, and if word gets around to her that this is the case, she’ll have no problem doing him in. After all, Melisandre did say he would die in this strange land.
There’s a possibility Jaime will die, which would open up the opportunity for Arya to take his face and kill Cersei. And as far as Dany and Jon go, I have a feeling it could be one or both of them.
A couple more stray thoughts: Presumably, Cersei still has some wildfire on hand. Could it come into play in the battle? And imagine this for a plot twist we don’t see coming–Daario Naharis and the Second Sons appearing to help Dany out! I don’t want to know how awkward that reunion will be given everything that’s happened with Jon.
