What happened to the major Game of Thrones characters in the series finale?

I love that Sansa is the Queen in the North and that her dress is a weirwood-themed piece. Also, her throne is the direwolves of House Stark. You also may have noticed that as Sansa entered into the Great Hall of Winterfell, everyone bowed to her. They never did that for Jon. Something tells me Queen Sansa is going to run things much differently that Jon would have, and I for one, wish we could be around to see it.

Next, Arya’s on a boat!

Arya wasn’t made to be a homebody, and I love that she’s going to explore the far reaches of the west, beyond Westeros, where there are no maps. Arya is taking on the role of Elissa Farman from George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood novel. Elissa aka Alys Westhill sailed a ship to the west looking for adventures and unexplored lands.

And now, we come to Jon.

Jon returned to Castle Black where he picked up Ghost from the kennel there, grabbed a few hundred of his closest wildling friends — along with Tormund Giantsbane — and went north of the Wall. And here’s the thing folks, I don’t think he’s planning on going back to Castle Black.

I’d bet Jon’s your new King Beyond the Wall, and I wish we could follow his adventures out in the frozen wilderness. Oh well, Game of Thrones is over forever, so we may never know what happens…that is, unless Martin ever finishes his books.
