2. SNOW FU

Does anybody really think Jon Snow was gonna stick to the Night’s Watch forever? At the end of “The Iron Throne” it looks like (since Eddison Tollet bit the dust at the Battle of Winterfell) Jon has resumed his role as Lord Commander once again, and what we see is him escorting Tormund and the wildings home.

But with the Night King destroyed and the winter receding (see the green sprig Jon’s horse passes in that departure sequence), what is there for the Crows to do? The sequel, Snow Fu, sends Jon on a wandering journey north of the Wall, delivering Zen-like assistance to needy individuals along the way.

Like Jon Snow, the hero of the old TV series Kung Fu, Kwai Chang Caine, was a son of mixed parentage who fell from grace after he killed someone. Jon Snow is the product of a secret marriage sentenced to join the Night’s Watch after killing his queen, Daenerys Targaryen.

Since his death and resurrection by the Lord of Light, it appears that Jon has completed whatever purpose the Game of Thrones gods might have intended him for. Now, he tries to find new meaning in life as he wanders the wilderness, battling for justice and protecting the underdog.
