Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge employees aren’t allowed to say THIS word

There were very few times that Anakin Skywalker was actually cool in the Star Wars prequels. The final third of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith might have been the only time he was interesting.

It was also the only time he was dangerous, perhaps too much so. As things were really going south for the Republic, Anakin slaughtered a roomful of young Jedi-in-training — or “younglings,” as Yoda and Obi-Wan named them — on the orders of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, aka Darth Sidious, aka the Emperor. “Not even the younglings survived,” Obi-Wan said of the slaughter.

Dark, right? Apparently too dark for a Disney theme park, as YouTuber Jenny Nicholson found out when she visited the park, which is now open to the public:

Oh, so now we have to protect children from language just because it might remind them and their parents of the time a bunch of kids were slaughtered…actually, yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

Rest assured that, generally speaking, a visit to Galaxy’s Edge is an entirely murder-free experience full of plenty of interesting things to see and do. But watch your blood pressure around the merchandise. The idea of paying $200 lightsaber to build a lightsaber only for it to snap in half the first time your kid smacks it against a tree or a trashcan is enough to make anyone embrace the dark side.
