Behold official images from The Last Kingdom season 4!
By Corey Smith
For a while now, the cast and crew of The Last Kingdom have been great about taking us behind the scenes during filming on the fourth season of Netflix’s medieval drama. But now, at long last, we have our first official look at what the upcoming season will look like!
Behold Uhtred son of Uhtred, Father Beocca, and the rest of the rowdy group, and fear not, as the photos contain NO SPOILERS for season 4! Unless you count Uthred winding up in a battle as a spoiler.
Presenting the man himself, Uhtred, Lord of Bebbanburg (Alexander Dreymon)! Uthred is sporting a similar look to the one he had in season 3.
No man fights alone. Above, we have Uthred alongside loyal follower Finan (Mark Rowley), warming themselves by the fire during a break in shooting. That also appears to be Aldhelm (James Northcote) standing opposite Dreymon, although we aren’t totally sure. Last we saw Aldhelm, he was stabbed by his former lord, Aethelred, who is said to have an expanded role in season 4.
We can’t be certain, but it looks this image with Father Beocca (Ian Hart) comes from the same scene. Who might Uhtred be staring at?

So when will we see the fourth season? Netflix has said that season 4 will premiere sometime in 2020, but has not given an exact date yet. Given how smoothly filming seems to be going, however, early 2020 looks likely. Destiny is all!
