Two Men and a Dragon
There’s no way we can skip one of the greatest bromances in fantasy history: the man-love affair between Jon Snow and the gregarious Tormund Giantsbane. In the closing moments of season 8 we saw them ride north of the Wall together, but we didn’t see what new adventures lay beyond the threshold.
In Two Men and a Dragon, Jon and Tormund team up with Ghost as they live among the wildings; they hunt, pursue criminals, seek ancient treasures and constantly get into trouble with the local females. Everything changes, however, upon their discovery of an ancient dragon egg and the arrival of a hatchling. The baby dragon imprints on Jon and Tormund, and the two men, lacking Dany’s mothering skills, struggle to raise the precocious little creature. Ever try to diaper a dragon?
Unfortunately, news of the dragon’s arrival reaches the powers that be south of the Wall, and both Sansa and Tyrion demand that the creature be destroyed. Jon and Tormund refuse, and a dismayed Tyrion and Sansa respond by sending elite scouts to eliminate the hatchling. Jon, Tormund, the baby dragon, and Ghost are soon on the run, and the world is hooked.
